Motherland Berlin SC delivered a commanding performance in Kreuzberg, coming away with a decisive 4-1 victory over TCH Franziskaner FC II.
The game began with early pressure from our side, and we took the lead in the 18th minute. Striker Sherifdeen was brought down in the box, and captain Emmanuel confidently converted the resulting penalty, giving us the advantage and setting the tone for a competitive match.
Due to the high intensity and quality of the opposition, our second goal didn’t come until the 67th minute. Substitute Henry Meli found Olawale A. on the left, who skillfully turned his defender and slotted past the onrushing goalkeeper to put us 2-0 up.
Henry then added to our tally in the 79th minute. Receiving a perfectly weighted pass from Sherifdeen, he showed impressive composure, rounding the goalkeeper to make it 3-0 and marking his sixth goal in just three league games.
The opposition pulled one back in the 81st minute with a penalty, narrowing the gap to two goals. Our debutant goalkeeper Abiola Ojo made a series of crucial saves to maintain our lead, showing his potential in a solid performance.
Just before full time, Henry was fouled by the onrushing goalkeeper, earning us our second penalty of the match. Gideon stepped up to take it; his initial shot was saved, deflecting off the crossbar, but he followed through to secure the rebound and complete the scoring, restoring our three-goal advantage.
This win keeps us as joint league leaders, holding a perfect record of 12 points from 4 games. The squad’s teamwork and discipline were essential to securing this result, emphasizing our ambitions for the season.
